After starting her career in 1997 as a dental assistant, Shelley realised she loved the close relationships that dentistry provided. “I felt a real desire to further my career with dental hygiene so I could continue helping patients gain and maintain overall oral health.”
Vicky Zhu
Oral Health Therapist
Vicky is passionate about educating and empowering patients to take care of their oral health so that it can benefit their holistic wellbeing. “I believe good oral hygiene can contribute to better overall health and also have a positive effect on a person’s self-confidence.” Vicky loves seeing patients look in the mirror after treatment and turn to her with a great, big smile at the difference they see.
For her, the most rewarding aspect of her job is seeing the changes her patients make to improve their oral health and being there to support them along the way.

Front Desk Coordinator
With a passion for ensuring the best dental care experience, Pritika is here to make your visit comfortable and welcoming. Choosing the role of a Front Desk Coordinator was a natural fit for Pritika, as she thoroughly enjoys interacting with patients and assisting them in receiving top-notch dental care. Her fascination with the field of dentistry and fluency in both English and Hindi allow her to effectively communicate and connect with patients from diverse backgrounds.

Raman, a skilled dental assistant at A+ Dentists, brings passion and expertise to every patient interaction. With a deep understanding of dental procedures and a commitment to providing exceptional care, Raman ensures that each visit to our practice is comfortable and stress-free.
Raman’s journey into the dental field was driven by her desire to make a difference in people’s lives. From an early age, she recognized the importance of oral health and its impact on overall well-being. Inspired by the opportunity to assist patients and contribute to their dental health, Raman chose to pursue a career as a dental assistant.
Vera Matthews
Dental Assistant
Vera was inspired to work in the dental field as she is steadfastly committed to creating a positive patient experience. “I also like to contribute to the flourishing smiles of patients by seamlessly integrating my skills into the team’s collaborative efforts here at A+ Dentists!
To prepare for her career, Vera took the New Zealand Dental Association Introduction to Dental Assisting module and is taking courses from the NZDA to achieve a Certificate in Dental Assisting. The modular, online correspondence course includes self-directed learning activities, lectures, online assessments and practical workplace experience.
